Dantroleneナトリウム（Dantrium）は現在、Detrusortrided括約筋の異陰性の治療に使用されており、主に鎖筋に作用すると考えられています。一般的な平滑筋に対するこの薬剤の効果は議論の余地があり、特に膀胱平滑筋に対するその効果は知られていない。in vitro筋肉浴システムでは、ダントロレンは、アセチルコリン誘発性の犬歯筋収縮に対して統計的に有意な阻害効果がないことがわかりました。

Dantrolene sodium (Dantrium) is currently used in the treatment of detrusorstriated sphincter dyssynergia and is thought to act primarily on striated muscle. The effect of this agent on smooth muscle in general is controversial, and its effect on urinary bladder smooth muscle in particular is not known. In an in vitro muscle bath system, dantrolene was found to have no statistically significant inhibitory effect on acetylcholine-induced canine detrusor muscle contractions.
